Terms of use
Last updated: October 6, 2026. These terms apply to your use of cellphonevegasinfo.com (Desert Dial, "we," "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
- What the site is. Desert Dial is an independent information site about phone calls, area codes and unwanted-call situations, with a focus on Las Vegas and Nevada. It offers articles and a small tool that reads the area code of a phone number. It is provided for general information and education only.
- The site does not require an account and does not charge for use.
- We do not sell reports or products through it.
- Acceptable use. You may use the site for your own personal, lawful purposes.
- You may not use the site, or anything you learn from it, to harass, stalk, threaten, track or surveil another person, to impersonate anyone or to commit fraud.
- You may not try to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests, probe it for weaknesses or send spam through the contact form.
- We may block access to anyone who does these things.
- What the tool does and does not do. The number checker shows facts about an area code and a few number patterns: region, main places, time zone and notes about unusual formats.
- It does not identify the owner of a number, the carrier, the line type or the reputation of a number.
- Do not rely on it to decide that a call is safe or unsafe. A result is a clue, not a verdict.
- No professional advice. Everything on the site is general information. It is not legal, financial, tax or other professional advice, and using it does not create a relationship between you and us. For a specific problem, consult your carrier, your bank, a consumer protection office or a licensed attorney.
- No warranties. We try to be accurate and we date our pages, but we provide the site "as is" and "as available." We give no warranty, express or implied, that it is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted or suitable for a particular purpose. Rules, phone menus, carrier features and area code assignments change, so check official sources for anything that matters.
- Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content, including decisions about calls you answer, numbers you dial or money you spend. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
- Content and intellectual property. The text, graphics and design of the site belong to us unless noted.
- You may quote short passages with a link back to the page.
- You may not copy whole pages, republish them as your own or scrape the site at scale.
- Names of companies and agencies mentioned belong to their owners, and we claim no affiliation with them.
- Links to other sites. We link to official sources and other sites for convenience. We do not control them and we are not responsible for what they say or do.
- Messages you send us. If you write to us, you confirm that what you send is yours to send. We may use your feedback to correct or improve pages. How we store and delete your message is described in the privacy policy.
- Changes and termination. We may change these terms or the site at any time. The date at the top shows when the terms last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- Contact. Questions about these terms can go to [email protected] or through the contact page. See also our disclaimer and about page.
